Diana Shoolman

Diana has been a Chartered Accountant for over 25 years. Starting her career in South Africa, spending her articles at Grant Thornton, (formerly Kessel Feinstein) she moved quickly through the ranks of audit supervisor, audit manager, and was offered partnership at 26 prior to her migration to Australia in 1999. At this time, Diana managed a team of 18 trainees. She audited businesses across a wide variety of sectors, from large family businesses and listed entities in South Africa and Namibia, including fisheries, construction companies, and some of South Africa’s most prestigious law firms.

Diana’s first role in Australia was at Horwath. She spent a time in the Chicago office of Crowe Chizek and successfully rolled out internal audit offerings to several clients upon her return. During her career in Australia, Diana has been a Director at Deloitte and PwC.

Diana was put forward for the School for Partner Candidates at Deloitte and was head-hunted by PwC, after which followed a career pivot to banking, beginning with three years at Investec (subsequently BOQ Specialist) assisting CA’s and CPA’s across multiple classes of financial products as Head of Accounting Finance. NAB then approached Diana to sit on two of their leadership teams, NAB Corporate and NAB Private. Diana was responsible, in her capacity as Head of Professional Services, for the relationships with KPMG, PwC and the top six legal firms in Australia, including King&Wood Mallesons, Minter Ellison, etc.

Diana’s role at Modoras is multi-disciplinary and straddles outsourced CFO, corporate finance and wealth management. Diana has been nominated for Telstra Businesswoman of the Year.

Personally, Diana’s passions are her two teenage daughters, Liora and Ariella. She loves swimming and was instrumental in arranging the 10-year audit of The Jewish House pro bono; assisting with The Moriah Capital Appeal; volunteering at Days for Girls and Our Big Kitchen.
