Henning Neethling Appointed as Director CFO Advisory at Modoras

Modoras is pleased to announce the appointment of Henning Neethling as Director CFO Advisory. This strategic appointment strengthens the firm’s commitment to delivering integrated, results-driven financial solutions to clients across Australia.
With more than 20 years of experience across a range of industries, Henning brings a wealth of financial and commercial expertise to the role. His career spans financial control, performance analysis, strategic leadership and operational transformation, with a consistent focus on helping businesses drive efficiency and growth.
Henning began his career at PwC in South Africa, before relocating to Australia in 2008. He has since held senior finance roles at some of the country’s most respected institutions, including Macquarie Bank and Commonwealth Bank of Australia, across both Business Unit and Group Finance functions.
He went on to lead the finance function at PetSure – Australia’s largest pet insurer – where he played a pivotal role in supporting business strategy and operational performance. Most recently, Henning served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Sky News Australia, where he was instrumental in setting corporate strategy and leading the business through three consecutive years of record profitability. He also oversaw the implementation of a three-year technology investment roadmap, working closely with the Executive Leadership Team to drive performance.
“I’m passionate about building operational and financial efficiency,” said Neethling. “Having been in the CFO seat for a number of years, I understand what leaders need. I’m excited to bring that perspective to Modoras and help our clients simplify, strengthen and scale their finance and operational functions.”
Henning will lead the Modoras Corporate Advisory division, working closely with mid-market, high-growth and privately owned businesses. He will collaborate with Modoras’ accounting, wealth management and audit teams to deliver integrated solutions that create long-term value for clients.
“Henning’s appointment is a significant step forward in the expansion of our advisory capability,” said Jonathan Rudman, Modoras Managing Partner. “His deep financial expertise, real-world CFO experience and commercial acumen allow him to identify opportunities for improvement and deliver high-impact outcomes for clients.”
This appointment supports Modoras’ long-term growth strategy and enhances its ability to meet the evolving needs of businesses across Australia.
