Parneet Kaur began her career in accounting at a mid-tier firm in Sydney, where she worked primarily within the audit team and gained additional experience in business advisory services. She has collaborated with clients from diverse sectors, including manufacturing, plumbing, financial advisory, distribution, construction, property, hospitality, and not-for-profit organisations.

Her audit responsibilities encompass the entire process, from initial planning to finalisation, including overseeing junior colleagues’ work and providing them with training. She has conducted various audits, including financial audits, AFSL audits, and trust account audits, across multiple industries. Additionally, she has managed audits involving group reporting to international parent entities and executed agreed-upon procedures.

Her expertise extends to preparing financial reports in compliance with Australian accounting standards, covering special purpose reports, general purpose reports (SDS), and consolidated financial reports. In her previous role, she was the primary contact for financial statement preparation and adeptly handled any associated issues.

Parneet is passionate about auditing because uncovering the narrative behind the numbers offers valuable insight into a business’s operations and challenges. She is particularly intrigued by the opportunity to understand the inner workings of different businesses, which broadens her perspective and enriches her professional experience. Outside of work, Parneet has a passion for cricket, having dedicated over a decade to the sport. She has represented both the NSW Under 18 Women’s team and the NSW CHS team, benefitting from excellent coaching. Besides cricket, she enjoys experimenting with new vegetarian recipes in her free time and cherishes spending quality time with friends and family.
