The Department of Employment, Small Business and Training administers grants and programs to help Queensland small business continue to recover, grow and thrive by committing grant funds for businesses to increase key capabilities, embrace innovation, and assist high-growth businesses to capitalise on opportunities.

They have just announced the current planned grant rounds for 2022 Business Basics Grant Program Round 4.

Applications Opening Date:

Stage 1: Registration of Interest (ROI) opens 24 November 2022 (tomorrow)

Stage 2: Full application opens 12 December 2022 (selected ROI applicants only)

Applications Closing Date:  

Stage 1: Registration of Interest (ROI) closes 5 December 2022

Stage 2: Full application closes 23 January 2023 (selected ROI applicants only)

You may be eligible for a single up-front fixed grant payment of $5,000 (excluding GST)

Services we offer that the grant can be used for include business development advice, business plans, business continuity and succession plans.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for this grant, your business must:

  • Not have been approved for funding under Round 1,2 or 3
  • Have fewer than 20 employees at the time of applying
  • Have an active ABN and be registered for GST
  • Headquarters in Qld
  • Have an expected turnover of $300,000 or less in the last financial year
  • Not have owners/directors that are insolvent or an undischarged bankrupt.
