VIC's Restricted Postcode Business Support Program
Victorian Government has announced a $5,000 grant to help businesses through the temporary COVID-19 lockdown.
The package is designed to help local businesses such as restaurants, pubs, gyms, cinemas, entertainment venues and other businesses make it to the other side of local lockdowns.
Who can apply?
Businesses can apply if they meet the following conditions:
- Operate in a postcode that is affected by the return of the Stay at Home restrictions (does not necessarily need to be their registered address)
- are an employing business
- are currently register to pay GST
- have a payroll of less than $3 million per year
- hold an ABN, and have held that ABN since 16 March 2020 (the date of the State of Emergency declaration)
- have been engaged in carrying out the operation of business in Victoria on 16 March 2020
Access to the grant will not be limited if they have already received a $10,000 Business Support Fund grant or payroll tax refund or waiver.
Further eligibility guidelines are yet to be released on date of publication.
