Ian Strauss is a highly skilled Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in audit, business advisory, tax and assurance. He completed his tertiary education at the University of the Free State in South Africa in 2008 and became a Chartered Accountant in 2014 through the CAANZ.
After completing his Chartered Accountant clerkship in Audit with BDO in South Africa, Ian joined Deloitte Australia where he honed his skills working with international, state and territory-based governments, as well as multinational private and public businesses. After five years with Deloitte, Ian spent three years as the head of the Governance and Financial Accounting team at Vodafone Australia before moving to Port Macquarie.
Ian’s unique qualities and accomplishments are highlighted by his entrepreneurial spirit. He established his own Accounting and Advisory Practice, which has grown into a well-established local firm. The firm leverages AI and technology to provide exceptional client experiences and a value-based billing model.
In addition to his work in accounting, Ian has a passion for business advisory that extends to his hobbies. He recently purchased a Pecan nut farm and set up a tree nut exporting business in response to the recent floods, with the goal of creating value and supporting growers in New South Wales and Queensland.
Ian is a member of the CAANZ and holds professional affiliations in the accounting industry. He takes a corporate approach to his work and is committed to delivering exceptional service and results to his clients.
