JobKeeper Wage Condition Deadline Nearing
There are only days remaining to ensure all eligible employees, including new nominations, have been enrolled for JobKeeper under the one in, all in JobKeeper principle.
For fortnights 10 and 11 the Australian Taxation Office has granted employers until 31 August 2020 to meet the wage condition for newly eligible employees under the tweaked 1 July eligibility test.
The ATO has also issued a reminder that employers must commence paying newly eligible employees the minimum of $1,500 per fortnight from 3 August, and have until 31 August to satisfy the wage condition.
A separate ATO issued reminder has gone out informing that claims must be placed for three fortnights in September; fortnight 9 (commencing 20 July), fortnight 10 (commencing 3 August) and fortnight 11 (commencing 17 August 2020).
Employees that are newly eligible and employed as of 1 July 2020 must be included from fortnight 10 onwards.
